My Recovery has been a 40-year journey. My Recovery has been a faith-based journey with Jesus Christ. Every day, He has been right beside me on this journey, not once has He ever left me to walk alone.
I grew up in the Church and my understanding of “God the Father” was through the eyes of a young boy growing up with a father that I could never please, I never was “good enough” and my father never had time to teach me about life.
I was 32 years old when I began a new life without drugs, I had been in active addiction for 15 years I was physically exhausted and emotionally drained. I asked God to show me how to live this new life. I heard “God the Father” speak to my heart in that “still small voice”, He said “I want meet with you in the stillness of early morning, just you and Me.”
I met with Him for 3 years early in the morning and He showed Himself to me as my Father and imparted these notes into my heart and spirit, words of insight and wisdom to live the abundant life He had for me.
I pray that “Notes from the Father” will open your heart to see Him as the Good, Good Father, that He is. And that He has a plan and a destiny for your life.
He heals the brokenhearted. And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. Psalm 147:3 (AMP)
